CVE-2021-34788 2021-10-06 19h40 +00:00 A vulnerability in the shared library loading mechanism of Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client for Linux and Mac OS could allow an authenticated, local attacker to perform a shared library hijacking attack on an affected device if the VPN Posture (HostScan) Module is installed on the AnyConnect client. This vulnerability is due to a race condition in the signature verification process for shared library files that are loaded on an affected device. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a series of crafted interprocess communication (IPC) messages to the AnyConnect process. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected device with root privileges. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have a valid account on the system.

CVE-2021-1519 2021-05-06 12h51 +00:00 A vulnerability in the interprocess communication (IPC) channel of Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client Software could allow an authenticated, local attacker to overwrite VPN profiles on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted IPC message to the AnyConnect process. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to modify VPN profile files. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have valid credentials on the affected system.

CVE-2018-0100 2018-01-18 05h00 +00:00 A vulnerability in the Profile Editor of the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client could allow an unauthenticated, local attacker to have read and write access to information stored in the affected system. The vulnerability is due to improper handling of the XML External Entity (XXE) entries when parsing an XML file. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by injecting a crafted XML file with malicious entries, which could allow the attacker to read and write files. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvg19341.

CVE-2017-12268 2017-10-05 05h00 +00:00 A vulnerability in the Network Access Manager (NAM) of Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client could allow an authenticated, local attacker to enable multiple network adapters, aka a Dual-Homed Interface vulnerability. The vulnerability is due to insufficient NAM policy enforcement. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by manipulating network interfaces of the device to allow multiple active network interfaces. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to send traffic over a non-authorized network interface. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvf66539.
