CVE Descriptions

Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in lanoba-social-plugin/index.php in the Lanoba Social plugin 1.0 for WordPress allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the action parameter. NOTE: the vendor disputes this issue, stating "Lanoba's plug in does sanitize user input, and because that input is never sent to the browser, an attacker has no way of executing script or code on a user's behalf.

EPSS

EPSS is a scoring model that predicts the likelihood of a vulnerability being exploited.

EPSS Score

The EPSS model produces a probability score between 0 and 1 (0 and 100%). The higher the score, the greater the probability that a vulnerability will be exploited.

EPSS Percentile

The percentile is used to rank CVE according to their EPSS score. For example, a CVE in the 95th percentile according to its EPSS score is more likely to be exploited than 95% of other CVE. Thus, the percentile is used to compare the EPSS score of a CVE with that of other CVE.

source: https://www.securityfocus.com/bid/50746/info Lanoba Social Plugin for WordPress is prone to a cross-site-scripting vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input. An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This can allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks. Lanoba Social Plugin 1.0 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected. UPDATE (Nov 28, 2011): The vendor refutes this issue claiming they are not able to replicate the problem, and all inputs are sanitized. This BID will be updated, and possibly retired pending further information. http://www.example.com/[path]/wp-content/plugins/lanoba-social-plugin/index.php?action=[xss]
